I guess the only way for you to know is to tell you about who I am and what makes me tick.
First, the facts. I am a Certified Coach which means that I received a year of training in basic and advanced Coaching skills and passed written and practical tests. Since then I've been on the Board of Directors for the Chicago area Coach's Professional Organization ICF-Chicago and The Board of Director's for Chicago's premier Power of Coaching Conference. I've also continued my training by adding the work from other specialties, which makes Coaching with me a unique and even more valuable experience. I work with clients on releasing old negative emotions and beliefs that have been holding them back for years and on attracting rather working hard to get what they want. These additional areas of focus will absolutely propel you towards your goals.
You also need to know my philosophy of Coaching. First I believe that my clients hire me not because the are lacking in some way, but because they are ready to take action to improve their lives and acheive great things and true happiness. I believe that we're all like acorns. It has within it all it need to become a magificent oak. But to do that it needs sun, water and nutrients. We, too, have within us the seeds to be magnificent. And the wonderful thing is that each of us will express that in different ways. But what we need is to be supported, nurtured toward that magnificence. And that's where I come in. I bringsupport and strategies to help nuture your dreams, so your magnificence is given a chance to blossom.
Second, if our work feels heavy or your progress becomes a struggle, we need to stop in our tracks and change things immediately. I believe that if you're struggling it means that there's something else we need to consider. My intention is that you will enjoy this journey. If it isn't fun and doesn't feel good, why do it? I use lots of humor and consider it important to maintain an environment where you feel safe and respected.
Third, I will not be the boss in our relationship, you are. Coaching is a powerful relationship because I don't give advice or try to fix you. What I do is help you use all your natural talents and abilities to more easily and quickly create whatever you want in life. I don't tell you what to do, I help you figure out how to get what you want most as quickly and enjoyably as possible. Let's use sailing as a metaphor. You are the captain of the ship. You'll choose the course and do the work of running the boat. What I do is act as the wind which keeps you moving toward your goal. And together, over time you'll find yourself arriving at your destination, your desired goal.
And here's one final philosophy I stand by. Once you and I work together, you will always be a part of my network. Even after we complete our work together, you can email me or call me for a quick tune-up or to handle a pressing challenge. Sharing your most intimate, exciting and sometimes scary feelings creates a very personal relationship that I choose to honor into the future. So, please know that once a client, always a client and that means you can count on me for support if you need it.
So, how do you know if we'll work well together? This should give you an idea of the type of person who is the perfect client for me. Don't be concerned if you don't have all these qualities, because I also love variety in people.
In the end, the only way to know if we make a great team is to give me a call to discuss Coaching and your specific goals or to schedule a Complimentary Sample Session at 630-980-4559. So give me a call right now and we'll set some time aside to get to know each other better and answer any questions you have about me or about Coaching.
